Abstract
The insertion of mobile technology in educational settings is becoming more prevalent, making it important to understand the effectiveness of such technology in enhancing students' learning and engagement. This article is based on research conducted to study the effects of the use of mobile technology – specifically iPads – by students in a graduate professional program in management. We describe the approach taken by the program administration to introduce mobile technology and discuss the impact of the adoption of this technology in three areas – engagement, learning, and professional development – based on surveys and interviews with students, faculty and administrative staff.
