A Bibliometric Analysis for the All the Published Papers During 2015-2022 in the Journal of Appropriate Technology Based on the Keyword Analysis

Abstract

Because appropriate technology (AT) is mainly focusing on the technologies and methods for developing countries and vulnerable social group, the purpose of the AT could be providing water-energy-food infrastructure and education opportunity. The journal of appropriate technology (JAT) is the professional journal on AT and has been published since 2015. In this study, the bibliometric analysis based on the keyword analysis was conducted to understand research trends for various research topics. The keywords were collected from all the published JAT papers and analyzed according to publication year and order of appearance. As the results, the variation for the number of keywords according to the publication year was evaluated and research trends on the various AT topics were confirmed. The research areas in keywords were relatively prior to the methods and targets in keywords in the order of appearance. If huge data base could be collected by the help of AI (artificial intelligence), it is worth to mention that the keywords analysis of this study could be also used to other research topics.
