Abstract
LAYERED DOUBLE HYDROXIDES IN CATALYTIC PROCESSES FOR FINE CHEMISTRY, POLLUTANT DEGRADATION AND CLEAN ENERGY GENERATION: A BRIEF REVIEW. Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) and related materials have been studied for a long time and their application in catalytic processes remain attractive due to the tuned properties, morphologies and metal-support interactions obtained from a variety of composition and synthesis route. In this mini-review, some important reactions, such as photocatalysis, electrocatalysis, reduction, carbon-carbon cross-couplings and water-gas shift will be emphasized along with the role of LDHs as catalysts, co-catalysts or catalytic precursors when it was clearly indicated.
