Usage Opportunities of Tent Barn Type in Terrestrial Climate Conditions; Example of Yozgat Province

Abstract

ABSTRACT With the spread of modern tent barns, which are insulated, ventilated, easy to install, and inexpensive, the cost of making barns for sheep breeders has decreased. For this purpose, the study, it is aimed to examine the problems of the breeders on-site by conducting surveys and on-site examinations of the breeder who breeds sheep in tents in the vicinity of Yozgat province and to determine the advantageous or disadvantageous situations in the use of tent barns and to provide recycling. While 90.48% of the owners of the sheep breeding in tents stated that they are satisfied with the tent type breeding and tent barn, 76.19% of them stated that there is condensation (humidity) in their enterprises and they are uncomfortable with this situation. Owners of the business stated that they want or will do sheep raising in the tent barn with a rate of 71.42%. The ratio of the operators who found the tent barn operating expenses to be the same as the expenses in the standard barn was 80.95%, and the rate of the operators who thought that the tent barns were less expensive than the standard barns was 19.05%.
