Abstract
Loss of the LC dynein light chain that associates with one microtubule binding domain within outer-arm dynein leads to altered ciliary motility, disrupts the kinetics of outer arm preassembly in cytoplasm, and has a significant effect on the maintenance of axonemal stability in Chlamydomonas.
