Abstract

The neuronal functions of KIF3AB and KIF3AC are not well understood. A novel microscopy-based assay was developed to define protein-protein interactions in intact neurons, and it was found that KAP binds both. Live-cell imaging in cultured hippocampal neurons was used to define the localization and trafficking parameters of KIF3AB and KIF3AC organelle populations.
