Abstract
A chemorepellent inhibits Ras at the side of a cell closest to the chemorepellent using a G protein–coupled receptor, G proteins, protein kinase B, a p21-activated kinase, and an extracellular signal–regulated kinase. This inhibits pseudopod formation at one side of the cell to bias cell movement away from the chemorepellent.
