Abstract

Hypoxia is a detrimental stress to eukaryotes and inhibits several cellular processes, such as DNA replication, transcription, translation, and metabolism. Interestingly, the genome of Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) is known to undergo productive replication in hypoxia.
