Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB), caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis , is the world’s leading cause of mortality from a single bacterial pathogen. With increasing frequency, emergence of drug-resistant mycobacteria leads to failures of standard TB treatment regimens.
