ABSTRACT
Paper chromatographic separation of Porter-Silber chromogenic 11-deoxycorticosteroids extracted from late pregnancy urine resulted in the detection of 11-deoxycortisol (Compound S). The amounts of urinary tetrahydro-11-deoxycortisol (THS) excreted by pregnant women seemed to be higher than those excreted by non-pregnant females.
