2. Satisfactory operation has been obtained in tests with timing resistances as high as 105 meg.

The practice has been to remove entirely the phenolic timing switch SW3 on which the timing resistors R20A-K are wired and to replace it with a single-wafer steatite switch containing new timing resistors, each 100 times larger than standard. The new resistors are type HBF, purchased from the Resistance Products Company, 914 South 13th Street, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Because of the high resistance used, dust covers (Tektronix part number 437-007) were added to the modified units.
