Abstract

This book chapter provides the available statistics on camel meat production in different parts of the world, including the camel slaughtering rate trends and the contribution of camel meat to meat production. The camel meat market in the Horn of Africa, Central and Western Africa, and Asia, are examined. Future trends in camel meat production are presented.
