Abstract
The species within the Tribe Dacini, from Indomalaya to north-west Australasia, are described and illustrated. In all, 423 species are recorded from this region and treated under four genera, Bactrocera (with 18 subgenera), Dacus (with five subgenera), Ichneumonopsis and Monacrostichus. One new subgenus is described, Parasinodacus, to include eight previously known species and five new species. 123 new fruit fly species are described. 56 species that are newly placed in synonymy and 7 species that have been removed from synonymy are also described. A new name is proposed - Bactrocera linduensis for the preoccupied name Bactrocera enigmatica. Lectotypes and taxonomic revisions are also presented.
