Abstract
TÓM TẮT
Mục tiêu: Khảo sát thực trạng bệnh sâu răng, viêm nướu và nhu cầu điều trị của trẻ 6 - 12 tuổi có khe hở môi, vòm miệng.
Đối tượng, phương pháp: Trẻ 6 - 12 tuổi có dị tật khe hở môi - vòm miệng chưa phẫu thuật hoặc đã phẫu thuật đến khám và điều trị tại Trung tâm Răng Hàm Mặt bệnh viện TW Huế từ 3/2021 đến tháng 10/2022. Thiết kế nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang. Các biến số nghiên cứu gồm: đánh giá sâu răng; chỉ số sâu, mất, trám răng; tình trạng viêm nướu; nhu cầu điều trị (tỷ lệ số răng cần trám răng đơn giản, tỷ lệ số răng cần điều trị tủy, tỷ lệ số răng cần nhổ, tỷ lệ trẻ cần lấy cao răng và điều trị viêm nướu).
Kết quả: Tỷ lệ mắc sâu răng chung của nghiên cứu là: 84,5%, trong đó sâu răng sữa là 82,4%, sâu răng vĩnh viễn là 35,8%. Trẻ có tình trạng khe hở môi vòm miệng chiếm tỷ lệ sâu răng cao nhất 88,3%, thấp nhất ở trẻ chỉ có khe hở vòm miệng (46,2%). Tỷ lệ viêm nướu 34,1%. Nhu cầu điều trị: Tỷ lệ số răng cần được trám đơn giản: 58,3%; Tỷ lệ số răng cần điều trị tủy: 11,2%; Tỷ lệ số răng cần nhổ: 5,2%; Tỷ lệ trẻ cần lấy cao răng: 22,7%.
Kết luận: Sâu răng, viêm nướu rất phổ biến ở trẻ 6 - 12 tuổi có khe hở môi, vòm miệng. Cần đưa trẻ đến các cơ sở y tế, bệnh viện chuyên khoa để khám và điều trị răng miệng, đặc biệt là phục hồi lại các răng mất, trám các răng sâu, cạo cao răng.
ABSTRACT
THE SITUATION OF DENTAL CARIES, GINGIVITIS IN 6-12 YEAR-OLD CHILDREN WITH CLEFT LIP AND PALATE
Objective: To survey the current status of dental caries, gingivitis and treatment needs of children 6 - 12 years old with cleft lip and palate.
Subjects and methods: Children 6 - 12 years old with cleft lip and palate who had not had surgery and had surgery came to the Center for Odonto - Stomatology, Hue Central Hospital from 3/2021 to 10/2022. Study design: cross - sectional descriptive study. The research variables include: assessment of dental caries; index of decay, loss, filling; gingivitis; treatment needs (proportion of teeth needing simple fillings, percentages of teeth needing root canal treatment, percentage of teeth needing extraction, percentage of children needing tartar removal and gingivitis treatment).
Results: The overall prevalence of dental caries in the study was: 84.5%. Caries in deciduous teeth accounted for 82.4% and permanent teeth caries was 35.8%. Children with cleft lip and palate accounted for the highest rate of dental caries 88.3%, the lowest in children with only cleft palate (46.2%). The rate of gingivitis was 34.1%. Mentioning treatment needs: The percentage of teeth that need simple filling: 58.3%; the rate of teeth needing root canal treatment: 11.2%; Rate of teeth to be extracted: 5.2%; The rate of children needing tartar removal: 22.7%.
Conclusion: Tooth decay, gingivitis are very common in children 6 - 12 years old with cleft lip and palate. Children should be taken to specialized medical facilities and hospitals for dental examination and treatment, especially restoration of lost teeth, filling of decayed teeth, and tartar removal.
