Abstract
Stomatal conductance tends to be positively correlated with grain yield of wheat (Triticum spp.) in irrigated environments and negatively correlated in dry environments, but little is known of its inheritance. High stomatal conductance appeared to be controlled by a single dominant gene in a durum wheat (T. turgidum L. var. durum) cross. Realized heritability, calculated from divergent F3-derived F5 families, was 0.40 ± 0.07. Key words: Triticum turgidum L. var durum, realized heritability
