1. One large study (Board of Trade, 1957) in women, of anthropometry in relation to clothing sizes, included the biacromial but not the bi-iliac diameter. In women aged 20-54, the BAD was found to be very close to 350 mm. In corresponding fiveyear age groups this figure is 15-20 mm less than in the present study.
