Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to systematically review the studies based on the Health Belief Model for patients with heart failure and to provide a source that can guide health professionals. In order to reach the articles on the subject, various combinations of the keywords "heart failure", "health model belief" and "practice" were used from Pubmed, Scholar Google and ScienceDirect search engines between 2011-2021. A retrospective search was performed for published studies. 3545 articles related to the scope of the research were reached and three articles that met the inclusion criteria were evaluated within the scope of the study. In this systematic evaluation, it was found that in the studies conducted using education programs based on the health belief model, the education programs increased the knowledge, behavior, perceived sensitivity, seriousness, benefit and awareness of individuals about heart failure; It was determined that the perceived barriers were reduced. The results of the research showed that the number of individualized and community-oriented education programs for the development of knowledge, attitudes and behaviors related to heart failure is quite limited. It is recommended to carry out studies that will improve knowledge, sensitivity and perception of seriousness, and behaviors related to protective measures for heart failure, the incidence of which is increasing.
