Abstract
This study aims to determine the improvement of the ability to recognize braille numbers of first-grade blind students through braille number blocks at SLB Negeri Cerme. This research uses a quantitative approach Single Subject Research (SSR) experimental research method A1-B-A2 design. The research subject in this study was a blind grade I student at SLB Negeri Cerme who totaled one person. Data collection was done by using oral tests and observation. Based on the study's results, it can be concluded that using braille number blocks learning media can improve the ability to recognize braille numbers one to ten in blind children in class I at SLB Negeri Cerme. This is evidenced by an increase in the ability to acknowledge braille numbers in research subjects, marked by the increasing results of the final ability test (baseline 2). In the initial ability test (baseline 1), the subject got an average score of 33, and in the final ability test (baseline 2), the average subject score increased to 85. So, there was an average increase of 53.
