Abstract
Abstract
We have analyzed structural and dynamic characteristics (production, morphometric parameters, phytocoenotic features and invasive behavior) of two locations with the alien species Pistia stratiotes L. in different types of water bodies, by origin, use and trophic status (a drainage canal and oxbow lake) in the outskirts of Kyiv. It is possible that in the case of increased anthropogenic eutrophication due to inorganic nitrogen, mother plants become smaller and more compact. The variability of morphological features increases. We also have distinguished growth of invasive potential of the species in the conditions of the water bodies of the region.
