γ-P4S3, eine neue Modifikation von Tetraphosphortrisulfid

Abstract

Abstract From a solution that contained P4S3, PPh3, and CoCl2 · 2H2O in a mixture of tetrahydrofurane, ethanol and toluene, the new modification γ-P4S3 was crystallized. It is isotypic with β-As4S3, space group Pbnm, a = 646.2(2) pm, b = 1092.1(3) pm, c = 984.3(2) pm, Z = 4. The four different structure types, α-P4S3, α-As4S3, γ-P4S3, and α-P4Se3, can be derived from a hexagonal closest-packing of molecules with four varieties of distortion; the symmetry relations are discussed.
