Abstract

Values represent people's highest priorities and are cognitive representations of basic motivations. Work values determine what is important for employees in their work and what they want to achieve in their work. The police profession is associated with high involvement in official activities and the risk of burnout. Many authors in the scientific literature have described the hierarchy of work values among employees of internal affairs bodies, but there are relatively few studies on how work or service values are related to compliance with official discipline and legality by employees of internal affairs bodies. Therefore, the purpose of our study was to study the relationship between service values and compliance by employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation with service discipline and legality. Compliance by employees of internal affairs bodies with official discipline and legality is one of the important bases for the performance of official activities aimed at fulfilling the functions and tasks assigned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The presented article analyzes the main service values of employees of internal affairs bodies in combination with compliance with those norms and rules that are embedded in the concepts of service discipline and legality.
