Abstract

This study aims to consider the concept of experience within the framework of human transformation. For this purpose, it includes various meanings of the concept of experience, starting from its dictionary meaning. This study asserts the thesis that experience is a possibility for human transformation based on the thoughts of the American educational philosopher John Dewey and the German philosopher Hans-Georg Gadamer. Today, considering the definition of the concept of education as the real transformation of man by enlightenment, it is obvious that the transformation of man through his experiences is an educational side. If education is to be constantly on the road, experiences are important in terms of allowing people to continue on the road by transforming. This study analyzes the concept of experience in terms of philosophy of education and religious education and explains how it works as an opportunity in human transformation.
