Abstract

A Brønsted acid-catalyzed enantioselective addition of 1,3-diones to in situ generated N-acyl ketimines has been developed. Various dicarbonyl-substituted chiral isoindolinones were achieved with up to 98% yields and up to 95% enantioselectivities.
