Abstract
Helical oligo(o-phenylene)-layered molecules were synthesized from planar chiral [2.2]paracyclophane. The o-quinquephenyl-layered molecule was emissive, and circularly polarized luminescence was observed with a high anisotropy factor (|glum| value).
