Abstract

Four trigonal-planar [CuAg3(CCAr)3(PPh3)3]+ units linked by halogen ions cover a polyhydride–Ag cluster Ag13H8 to form the core–shell Ag nanoclusters formulated as [Ag13H8X6{CuAg3(CCAr)3(PPh3)3}4]3+ (X = Cl, Br; Ar = Ph, Tol).
