Abstract
A [Ru(tpy)2]2+ chromophore functionalised with a dipicolinic acid chelator was prepared and investigated as an antenna for LnIII based Near Infra Red (NIR) emission, yielding relatively high sensitisation efficiencies despite the short-lived donor excited state lifetime.
