Phase-formations of Mg2P2O7–Mn2P2O7 mixed pyrophosphates and their desired luminescence abilities

Abstract
Phase-formation and luminescence depend on the Mn2+ contents in Mg2P2O7–Mn2P2O7 solid-solution. The mixed pyrophosphate of α- and β-phases shows the best luminescence, high thermal stability and efficient excitation in UV and near UV region.
