Abstract

Pyridine moiety-appended doubly bridged cyclotricatechylene (CTC(Py)₂(OH)₂) was synthesized and characterized. Solid state studies show that CTC(Py)₂(OH)₂ forms a capsular assembly in the presence of water but a polymeric assembly in its absence.
