Efficient arsenic coagulation by serpentine-mediated iron hydroxides

Abstract

As(iii) and As(v) can be efficiently coagulated by serpentine-mediated active iron hydroxides. The pH-buffering function of serpentine and the chemical affinity between Fe–As and Mg–As contribute to the arsenic coagulation.
