Abstract

The crystal structure of CaGa₂O₄ can be described as [GaO₄] tetrahedrons connecting with each other, forming large tunnels at the center, which are filled by Ca²⁺. Doping with Pr³⁺ achieves yellow long persistent luminescence and mechanoluminescence.
