Abstract

A Fe/Ca oxide co-embedded biochar (FCBC) was prepared by FeCl2 and CaO2 as precursors. FCBC had excellent phosphorus adsorption properties under alkaline conditions. FCBC recovered over 94% of phosphorus from agricultural return flows.
