Intraperitonial injection ofd-galactosamine (700 mg/kg)/lipopolysaccharide (10 mg/kg) to mice elicited liver injury, with the blood serum alanin aminotransferase (ALT) raised to 1883 ± 554 U/L (n= 10), while subcutaneous adminstration of the MeOH extract at 50 mg/kg lowered the serum ALT level to 473 ± 106 U/L (n= 10).
