Abstract
High mountains are one of the regions most affected by climate change. The complex network of interactions between climate, biological, and sociocultural structures in these regions is being altered. In this work, we try to explore the future challenges for these unique regions. We analyse why they are important and what problems they are facing in today’s climate and political scenario, with a special focus on the Pyrenees.
