A correlation of the thermomagnetic and domain behaviour of a single crystal of silicon-iron

Abstract

The thermal changes accompanying the magnetization of a single crystal specimen of silicon-iron along a [001] direction have been measured and a Bitter figure study made of the same specimen. Some success has been obtained in the correlation of the thermal changes in low fields with the appearance of Néel spikes and domains of reverse magnetization.
