Abstract
Drought is one of the main disasters affecting wheat production. As a new type of plant hormone, SLs can effectively regulate the drought resistance of plants. However, so far, there are few studies on its effects on the growth and development of wheat. Aiming at the above situation,
this study used foliar spraying to study its effects on the drought resistance metabolism of wheat under different concentration conditions. The results showed that exogenous SLs could not only improve root structure and promote root growth, but also increase the activities of enzymes such
as SOD, POD and CAT in leaves, reduce the content of MDA, increase the content of Proline, and then improve the growth of plants. Water content, promote the improvement of photosynthetic pigments, and ensure the effective process of plant water and energy metabolism, thereby improving the
drought resistance level of wheat at seedling stage. This study not only provides a theoretical basis for the application of SLs in wheat drought resistance, but also provides some technical support for its field cultivation in wheat.
