O PAPEL DA ENFERMAGEM FRENTE AO PACIENTE COM INSUFICIÊNCIA RENAL EM TRATAMENTO DE HEMODIÁLISE: Uma breve revisão integrativa da literatura

Abstract

This is a course completion work whose objective is to understand the role of the nursing professional in relation to patients with renal failure, undergoing hemodialysis treatment. Renal failure occurs when the kidneys are unable to remove toxins and waste from the body, in most cases leading to the need for hemodialysis treatment. To achieve the general objective, it was necessary to outline the following specific objectives: understand the importance of these specific interventions; discuss the direct impact that nurses have on patient outcomes, with a fundamental aim to guarantee the quality of care, from promotion, prevention and treatment. This is a study with a qualitative approach, whose procedure is an integrative literature review. It is concluded that the reflections brought forward in this work contribute to the advancement of comprehensive and holistic nursing care for people undergoing hemodialysis treatment, based on interventions and the use of tools that promote safe care.
