Abstract

A brief review is given of the information measures used extensively in human performance studies (Shannon, 1948). New generalized information measures are presented as alternatives to the traditional measures. It is postulated that the new measures may be advantageous for psychological studies. Also, a new generalized chi-squared goodness-of-fit test statistic is mentioned.
