Abstract
Two simulated interviews were compared to determine if degree of similarity to vis à vis interview affected verbal behavior in a standardized interview setting. It was hypothesized that the interview most similar to a face-to-face interaction would produce the most speech. This finding was essentially confirmed for time of performance and amount of speech. However, latency and mean speech time were not influenced.
