AbstractWe propose a mechanism for the previously reported formation of benzobicyclo[3.2.0]heptane derivatives from 1,7‐enyne derivatives bearing a terminal cyclopropane. ‐> A mechanism for the previously reported formation of benzobicyclo[3.2.0]heptane derivatives from 1,7‐enyne derivatives bearing a terminal cyclopropane is proposed.
