Abstract
AbstractWe present here an iron‐catalyzed oxidative Csp3−Csp3 bond cleavage of unstrained tertiary alkyl aromatics to provide a range of synthetically useful arylketones even with H2O2 as the oxidant. This method is operationally simple, scalable, and eco‐friendly, as well as suitable for the late‐stage oxidation of complex molecules bearing hydroxy groups, making it a valuable tool in organic synthesis.
