Abstract

AbstractThe first facile synthesis of cypripedin (1) was achieved using commercially available 2,3‐dihydroxybenzaldehyde (2) and 5‐bromovanillin (4) via a convergent strategy involving the Mizoroki–Heck reaction and photocyclization as key steps.
