Abstract
AbstractTourism is an important sector for economic development, also in regions such as the Eastern Partnership countries (EaP), which include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. The paper presents a multidimensional comparative analysis of the tourism potential of these countries. The article emphasized the importance of taxonomic methods in regional studies, which are widely used for spatial management analysis and diagnosis. This study, given the great applicability of taxonomic methods in regional studies, employs the well‐known procedure and statistical package Statistica. The emphasis, is on certain decisions that, when quantitatively approaching this type of issue, an informed researcher must make. These are decisions of both substantive and methodological character that will allow to approach with due weight the results obtained in consequence of the applied software. The article discusses the importance of the development of tourism infrastructure and digital society for the tourism potential of the Eastern Partnership countries.
