Abstract
AbstractHerein the fabrication of bismuth oxybromide‐silver doped photocatalyst using green route replacing toxic chemicals at 80 °C, further characterizing and studying of potential applications of fabricated nanoparticles is reported. Atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), degradation studies of methyl orange are studied using UV–vis absorption spectroscopy are performed to characterize the different nanoparticles that are synthesized. The properties of as‐fabricated catalysts are assessed using above characterization techniques reflect clover leaf like structure with higher surface area. The many‐fold increase in degradation activity of methyl orange is attributed to increase in OH groups due to phytochemicals present in plant extract of neem.
