This entry emphasizes material development in multilingual settings and presents a pragmatic and equitable approach to supporting educators in developing teaching materials that are beneficial, meaningful, and engaging to students. It will further take into consideration the needs of multilinguals acquiring an additional language to provide a foundation that facilitates the language acquisition process. This entry then discusses a potential framework that can assist in material development and concludes with implications for equity work in multilingual material development.
