Abstract
Background: Blowfly strike is an important seasonal problem which costs the UK sheep industry millions of pounds per year. To maximise margins, it is important that practitioners advise clients on the most cost‐effective treatment strategy for their flock.Aim of the article: This article models the costs associated with different strategies for the management of blowfly strike on sheep farms. Farm vets should use this model to determine the most appropriate strategy for their clients.
