Assessment of the differentiation of the economic space of the border regions of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan in the context of Eurasian integration

Abstract

Subject. This article discusses the prospects for the economic and political union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Objectives. The article aims to determine the integration potential of the border regions of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Methods. For the study, I used the methods of mathematical analysis. Results. The article finds that international trade has an impact on the possibility of forming a single Eurasian economic space. The pace of rapprochement between the border regions of Russia and Belarus, as well as Russia and Kazakhstan, can be described as slow. Conclusions. The economic potential of the border regions is not used, which does not meet the national interests of Russia.
