Analysis of the state and development prospects of medicinal plant cultivation in The Republic of Belarus and Russia in the context of low-carbon agriculture

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of one of the types of organic products — medicinal herbs in order to develop recommendations for improving this area of agricultural business in the Republic of Belarus and Russia. The dynamics of indicators characterizing medicinal plant growing is presented. A project has been proposed for the cultivation of medicinal herbs on the territory of private farms in the Republic of Belarus. The results of a study on the analysis of production indicators of medicinal crops in the context of regions of states are presented. Recommendations for the development of medicinal plant production in Russia and Belarus are proposed. The results obtained can be used to substantiate reserves for increasing the efficiency of medicinal plant production, to justify management decisions, as well as to develop a strategy for the sustainable development of agricultural enterprises.
