Abstract

The article deals with one topical area of work in the field of design in healthcare — the introduction of innovations, IT technologies in medical organizations. The experience of the United States in this area will allow us to understand how design thinking has been developing recently and what development we can expect from it in the near future. The article begins with the introduction of electronic health records in hospitals as a fairly large example of innovation. Of course, as in all IT technologies that have not passed the long test of time, this system has its drawbacks, which are highlighted in the article. The definition of the concept of "systemic risk" is given with the transfer of its essence to the realities in medical organizations. The importance of user experience in the process of implementing certain design solutions is indicated. A new branch of design in medicine is UX design. The emerging tools in this area provide even more inspiration for the design of various innovative products, such as, for example, mobile applications, automatic systems used in their work by doctors, etc. The main trend in the development of future design in healthcare will be consumer orientation.
