Abstract

This study was conducted with descriptive design to determine the disease attitudes and self-efficacy levels of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus taking insulin. The study was conducted with 120 patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus, who applied to the internal medicine outpatient clinics of Balıklıgöl State Hospital between January and April 2021. Personal information form, Diabetes Attitude Scale, and Self-Efficacy in Type 2 Diabetes scale were used to collect data. The data were analyzed in the Statistical Package of Social Sciences 25.0 software. The total mean score of the patients was found to be 57.25±19.07 for the self-efficacy in type 2 diabetes scale.
