Abstract
In 2020, mental disorders increased worldwide, mainly in anxiety, depression and stress, occurring by 27.6%, 25.6% and 41% respectively. In university students it has been related to health habits, sex and demanding activities. The objective of the study was to identify health habits in university students and their relationship with symptoms of anxiety, depression and stress. The methodology was quantitative, non-experimental, correlational, non-probabilistic cross-sectional sample. The sociodemographic variables reviewed were health habits and symptoms of anxiety, depression and stress. The total sample was 523 participants between 19-25 years old, 305 men and 218 women, it was divided into two groups, participants who only study with 50.1% and participants who study and work with 49.9%. The results reported that 65.2% of the total participants regularly presented bad habits, 43% had extremely severe anxiety and 26.2% had extremely severe depression.
